Frequently Asked Questions
Below you’ve find answers to some of the questions we hear the most:
Do all your buildings required concrete slabs?
All shops usually have slabs with vapor barriers installed, but portable buildings are
normally just installed on concrete pads. The concrete pads are expecially helpful with
portable buildings because they keep the buildings level and prevent pressure treated
wood skids from coming in direct contact with the ground.
Can I paint my portable building?
Yes, if you have a wood version and we recommend you do to help protect the wood
and extend the life of the building. Metal portable buildings are considered
“maintenance free” and do not require any additional coatings or sealants.
Do you charge for delivery of portable buildings?
We deliver for free within a 30 mile radius of our business location. We can still
delivery outside the 30 mile radius, but a deliver surcharge will apply. The delivery
charge will depend on exactly what work will be involved.
Which is better: Wood or Metal for a portable building?
Depends on your situation. Sometimes the best solution comes down to cost and
sometimes the best choice is based on the look of the building and how it will look on
your property. Wood tends to require more maintenance but metal buildings can be
very sturdy and stand up better to abuse.
Can you make cabins or bunkhouses?
We can build just about anything you need including car shops, auto sales offices,
beauty shops, man caves, storage buildings, playhouses, dog houses, toy shops, etc. If
you can dream it, we can build it!
